On the Go with Evernote

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Few apps have become as indispensable to Nebraska teachers and administrators as Evernote. Teachers are using the free Evernote app to easily collect evidence of student learning to share with parents through photos, audio clips and written notes; share daily assignments with students; and collect and manage web resources.

Administrators use the free Evernote app to collect and share teacher observation data; manage hiring processes; collect lesson plans; manage professional resources and even document and share maintenance requests with custodial staff. Everyone is improving their personal and professional efficiency by using Evernote keep track of the details of life!

Participants in this workshop will review Evernote basics, then head out across campus to experience a “day in the life” with Evernote. Prior to the workshop, download Evernote to any devices you regularly use (smart phones, iPads, iPods, laptops, etc). It works on all of them! Also bring your Evernote log-in and password. (Created at Evernote.com if you don't yet have an account.) To best experience the range of Evernote capabilities, participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and a smart phone or ipad if possible.

I lead the team that oversees the contests NETA offers for students and teachers each year. What new contests could we offer to recognize model uses of technology to support instruction? I also lead NETA's advocacy efforts to encourage state and national lawmakers to support ed tech in schools. How can be better help you advocate for ed tech funding and accessibility in schools?
